Inclusive EcoPoints: Urban Recycling Infrastructure with Social and Climate Impact
At Soluciones Ecológicas, we believe that recycling can go far beyond waste—it can connect people, empower communities, and drive climate action.
That’s why we created Inclusive EcoPoints, a modular recycling infrastructure designed for public and corporate spaces in Latin America. These stations are more than just containers: they connect citizens with informal recyclers through a circular model that combines infrastructure, education, and traceability technology.
🌱 What problem does it solve?
In many Latin American cities, recycling systems are weak or nonexistent, and informal recyclers—who collect and sort materials—work under precarious, invisible conditions. Waste ends up in landfills, rivers, or burned, worsening poverty and climate impact.
Inclusive EcoPoints provide a replicable and accessible solution. Citizens are guided to separate their recyclables (paper, plastic, aluminum, cardboard), which are then collected by trained recyclers, who weigh, report, and generate income from their work. All data is traceable and shared through our EcoApp.

This model mitigates CO₂ emissions by diverting waste from landfills and reducing demand for virgin materials. It also contributes to poverty reduction, gender inclusion, and green job creation.
